Alterations: George Inn, Caernarfon

THE GEORGE INN. — The following builders tendered for making the alterations to the George Inn, the property of Mr H. Harwood: — £ s. d. Mr John Francis Jones, Carnarvon£ 1580; E. Williams, Bangor £1281 5s 0d; R. R. Williams, Carnarvon £960; R. Jones, Bangor £931; W. Pritchard, Carnarvon £794 10s 0d; Morris, Carnarvon £779; D. Williams, Carnarvon £777 Messrs Black and Toul, Liverpool £700. The lowest tender has been accepted. In all the tenders, except that from Liverpool, the contractors were entitled to all old materials. This reduces the lowest tender to £650. We understand that the architect is Mr Richard Owen, 2, Breck-road, Liverpool.
