Alterations: St. Matthew's Church, Hayfield

Plans have been prepared by Messrs. Horton and Bridgford, Manchester, for a number of alterations in the interior of St. Matthew's Church, Hayfield, which will entail an expenditure of £1,200. The scheme comprises the erection of an organ chamber near the chancel and the removal thereto of the organ from the gallery near the choir stalls and vestry.  [Building News 29 January 1886 page 204]
