SALE - The opening of the new organ by Mr. J. V. Duckworth, of Manchester, on Sunday, completes an enlargement scheme at Trinity Wesleyan Chapel, Sale, near Manchester. The chapel has been lengthened by 14 feet, the transepts extended and carried up to the gallery, and an old flat ceiling replaced by a panelled and moulded waggon-headed one. The school premises have also been altered, and six new classrooms, library, and ministers' vestry added. The contract has been carried out by Mr. J. Pennington, of Bowdon, at a cost of £2,000 from plans and under the superintendence of Messrs. Potts, Pickup, and Dixon, architects, Manchester, and Oldham.  [Building News 6 March 1885 page 388]
