                    Messrs Charles Swain and Partners, Lloyds Bank Chambers, 55 King Street, Manchester, are the architects for a new 2,000-capacity cinema at Sedgley Park, Prestwich, for a local syndicate. [Builder 22 November 1929 page 885]
Opened 3 September 1931, seating approximately 1800. Small lock-up shops along a path down the side. Charles Swain and a member of Gerrards were both directors of the original cinema company. Later part of the Odeon chain. The cinema closed on 12th August 1961, although the foyer and café over were converted for use as offices. Demolished for supermarket.
