TO BUILDERS, PERSONS willing to TENDER for the whole or any part of the WORKS required in the ERECTION of a BAPTIST CHAPEL at Oakes, near Huddersfield, may see the Plans and Specifications at Mr. Thomas Hall's, Quarmby from Monday, May 13th, until Saturday, May 18th, inclusive. Sealed Tenders to be delivered to Mr. Thomas Hall on or before Tuesday, May 21st. The Building Committee do not pledge themselves to accept the lowest or any Tender. Quantities will be provided. OAKES - A new Baptist Chapel has been founded at Oakes, near Huddersfield. The edifice will accommodate 660 persons, exclusive of children, and will cost about £4.000. The architect is Mr G. Woodhouse, of Bolton. Building News 21 June 1867 page 431]
