Branch Railway, Whalley

The Lancashire Asylums Board are prepared to receive tenders for the formation of a branch railway about 44 chains long from the main Lancashire and Yorkshire line near Whalley Station to the site for the proposed new asylum, the erection of an under-bridge, and the construction of a deep sub-soil drain.
