NORTHWICH -  On the 4th inst. a bronze tablet was dedicated in the Parish Church of Northwich to the memory of Mrs Hibbert Binney, mother of the present vicar. The tablet is of cast bronze, surmounted by a bronze canopy, relieved by medallions depicting various emblems of the Faith. Underneath a beautiful cross of antique design, surmounted by a crown, is an inscription which gives an idea of the splendid service rendered to the Church in the industrial parish of Northwich for the past eighteen years by Mrs Binney and her relatives. It had been arranged for Bishop Kelly, late Primus of the Church in Scotland and brother-in-law of Mrs. Binney, to dedicate and unveil the tablet, but in his unavoidable absence, Dr. Hewitt, one of the County Aldermen and chairman of the subscribers, unveiled the tablet. The tablet is fixed to the south wall of the side chapel. It was designed by Mr J Medland Taylor, architect, of Manchester, and executed by Messrs. George Wragge, Limited, Metal Workers, of London and Salford. [Church Times 12 May 1905 page 615]
