Lands in the townships of Prestwich, Great Heaton, Little Heaton, Blackley, Crumpsall, and Broughton, belonging to the Right Honourable the Earl of Wilton. Mr T W Atkinson invites inspection of the plans of the property which is about to be sold for building purposes upon a moderate chief rent. The Estate is rich in its soil, highly picturesque in scenery, commanding beautiful views of Heaton Park and the surrounding country; and its distance from Manchester (which varies from two and a half to five miles), its contiguity to the main roads running towards the town, and its freedom from the annoyances of manufacture and the lower class of the labouring population, point to it as peculiarly favourable for genteel rural residences. The conditions of sale, which are such as to preserve the existing advantages of the locality, whilst they offer no unnecessary obstacles to building purchasers, may be known from Messrs Slater and Heelis, solicitors. Copies of them may also be obtained from Mr Atkinson, or from Mr Denham at Heaton Hall. 5 Oxford Street, Manchester. 10 November 1838. [Manchester Guardian 17 November 1838 page 4]
