FLINT. CAPEL, NEW CALVINATE METHODISTS— The chapel above is now finished. The foundation stone was laid May 24th, 1876, to close our worthy mayor, Mr. R. Muspratt. The designer was Mr R. Owen, Breck Road, Liverpool, and the builder, Mr Edward Peter, builder, Coedlai, both of whom have done their work commendably, as the chapel in one of the most beautiful and convenient in the whole county. Includes seating for 360. Its length is 18 inches, and its width 12Hath. On the south side are a vestry and two schoolhouses, the vestry measuring 13 feet 15 J, and the smallest pi 19 feet by 15 j. The rnac is built from Best Rnabou Prossed Brick, and all the freestone stone work from Ccfll Quarry, has a spectacular ceiling, and all woodwork is within pitch pine. The whole cost £1600. It was opened last Tuesday by the deputy mayor, Mr Alfred Dyson. [Y Genedl Gymreig  26th April 1877  p.8]
