FRON CYSYLLTAD - OPENING OF A NEW CHAPEL. -On Sunday last, the beautiful new chapel erected by the Calvinistic Methodists, at the Fron, was opened for divine service, when the Rev. J. H. Symond and the Rev. J. H. Parry preached to large and attentive congregations. It is but a few years ago that Bethhogla was built, at the very top of the hill, but as it was felt that the situation of the chapel was too high for the bulk of the population, the friends, after a long and deliberate consideration, determined to sell the old edifice and build a new one on a bank near the British School. The architect was Mr R. Owen, of Breck-road, Liverpool, and the contractor, Mr David Roberts, of Bala. The size of the building is 13 yards by 9 yards, and we must say that the design and workmanship is a great credit to both. [Wrexham and Denbighshire  Advrtiser 4 November 1871 page 8]
