TO CONTRACTORS. NEW CALVINISTIC CHAPEL, NEVIN. The Committee are prepared to receive Tenders for the erection of the above. Plans and Specifications to be seen at the old Chapel, and Tenders to be sent on or before the 25th day of July, addressed to Mr. John Griffith, Well-street. They do not bind themselves to accept the lowest or any Tender. RICHARD OWENS, Architect, 2, Breck Road. Liverpool

Capel Isaf Methodist Chapel was built in 1785, rebuilt in 1805, enlarged in 1826 and modified in 1833, before a final rebuild in 1876. The present chapel, dated 1876, was designed by architect Richard Owen of Liverpool and built in the Classical style of the gable entry type, at a cost of £326 6s 4d. [Coflien]

Often listed as Morfa Nevin rather than Nevin. The description of the 1874-1876 building does not correspond with the existing chapel which is set well back from the road and appears to be of later date. It is assumed that the original chapel has been demolished with only a length of cast iron boundary railing remaining.
