ST BEDE’S COLLEGE, ALEXANDRA PARK – The solemn opening of the new chapel which has been erected in connection with St Bede’s Roman Catholic College, Alexandra Park Manchester took place yesterday The building of which some account has already appeared is intended for the use of the students and staff of the College. It is of plain but handsome appearance, and has been erected from designs prepared by Mr O C Hill, architect, Albert Square by Mr Hibbert, builder, Moss Side. The building, which faces Mayfield Road is intended for the use of the students and has been erected at a cost of about £2,500. It possesses a very fine marble altar. Mr O C Hill, who has drawn up the plans, has followed no particular style of architecture, but has designed the chapel in keeping with the rest pf the College buildings.
