Ashlar, neo-Norman west tower with octagonal top, shallow chancel.  Build between 1838 and 1839 at a cost of £1,560 including a, £400 grant from the Church Commissioners, this was the first of the major churches to be built in the Adlington area. It has a chequered history as it's congregation has fallen then risen again only to fall again. The church finally closed in 1975 and in 1981 the whole site was sold on the condition that the building could not be demolished or the graves moved (last burial was around 1949) .
