The little church of Shelsley Walsh, (which, we believe, has another and a less euphonious designation), was restored a year or two ago by Mr. George Truefitt, who boldly placed an open fire-place in the nave. Here there is an arrangement, of which there is said to be only one other example in England, that, viz., at Fenny Bentley church, near Ashbourne, in Derbyshire, of the roodscreen being returned into the nave so as to include a small chantry.
