ST MARY’S BESWICK - On Saturday evening the new parish room, library and vestry just completed in connection with the Bishop Lee Memorial Church, Palmerston Street, Beswick, was formally opened. The structure, which is of Gothic design, from the drawings of the architects of the church, Messrs Paley and Austin of Lancaster, adjoins the church on the north-east side, in Bishop Street, and with the rectory, likewise just finished, forms an imposing pile of buildings.
