Clifton Lawn Tennis Club, Preston New Road, Blackpool

THE PAVILION - The splendidly-erected pavilion is approximately 43 feet long by 20 wide. The accommodation consists of a large entertaining room. with kitchen and scullery in the rear, while on each side is the dressing-room for ladies and gents. both of which are fitted with cupboards and receptacles for racquets and other playing necessaries. The contractors were: Joiners' work. Mr. J. Marsh: brick and drainage. Mr. R. Hogarth: plumbing and painting. Mr. Oxley. all of Blackpool. Mr. Halstead Best. of Church Street. was the architect for the building and the lay-out of the courts. [Blackpool Times 20 June 1922 page 6]
