LAYING THE FOUNDATION STONE OF A NEW PRESBYTERIAN CHAPEL AT SOUGHTON. On Tuesday last, the foundation stone of a new Welsh Presbyterian Chapel was laid at Mynydd Sychtyn. …. The site of the new chapel is a piece of waste ground adjoining the old place of worship, and the building is to accommodate 300 persons. It will be 12 yds. 2ft. in length, by 8 yds. 2ft. in breadth, and will be constructed on the modern elevated plan, the outer walls being in white brick. The architect is Mr Richard Owen, Breck Road, Liverpool, and the builders Messrs David Owen and Evan Andrews, of Mold. [Wrexham and Denbighshire Advertiser 24 September 1870 page 6]
