Extension to existing house of 1850 following the marriage of Spencer Bell. The nursery wing added later, is said to be designed by Bell himself. This house, overlooking Derwentwater, Keswick, was later used by Beatrix Potter’s family as a holiday home, as was Lingholm next to it.
Perspective dated 1856 exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1857
