NEW FEVER HOSPITAL FOR BOLTON. At a special meeting of the Bolton Board of Guardians yesterday plans for a new fever hospital with ward for smallpox cases was adopted. The plans have been prepared by Mr George Woodhouse, architect, Bolton. The building, which will be erected near the workhouse at Farnworth, will accommodate 44 patients and the cost is estimated at about £5,000, [Manchester Guardian 9 March 1871 page 5]
