Fives Courts Burlington Street

OWENS COLLEGE - New Fives Courts are now in the course of construction adjoining the gymnasium on the Burlington Street side of the Owens' College buildings. The new courts are designed on the most approved principles, under the superintendence of Mr M Ingram, clerk of the works to the College architect, Mr. Alfred Waterhouse, A.R.A. One, Of the courts is after the model of the Fives Court at Eton College, and the second after the model of that at Rugby School. The courts are expected to be ready for the students in the course of two or three weeks.
