September 1881/October 1882 Building Plans submitted to Heaton Mersey (D1605/250 and /276) for a semi-detached house and wash house for Mr H Hardy (Herbert Waters Hardy) at Mauldeth Road. Architect R.F.Tolson of Barton House, Deansgate Manchester. The house was built on land known as Allegar Fold and the house is named Fold House. It still has some ‘original features’ including bathroom fittings, backs stairs and servants bells.
