Free Methodist College Sunday School Dickinson Road Longsight
The ceremony of laying the memorial stones in connection with the Free Methodist College new Sunday School at Longsight, Manchester took place on Saturday afternoon. This school is being erected at the corner of Dickinson-road and Hamilton-road. The building, which will consist of an assembly hall and three classrooms will be faced with red brick and Yorkshire stone dressings and the inside woodwork will be pitch pine. Accommodation wil be provided for 270 children at a cost of £900. Mr F W Dixon of Manchester is the architect and Mr T Shaw is the builder. [Building News 30 June 1893 Page 893]

The school is being erected on a plot of land at the corner of Dickenson Road and Hamilton Road, Longsight. The building, which will consist of an assembly hall and three classrooms, will be faced with red brick and Yorkshire stone dressings, and the inside woodwork will be pitch-pine. ..... They would have room in the hall and three classrooms for between 270 to 300 children. They expected to expend on the building about £900. ......
