Main hanger of steel frame construction with brick infill; a single storey extension containing workshops and offices lay to the east. The Manchester coat of arms was displyed prominently on the south elevation. Officially put into use on 2 January 1930.
Although the hanger and workshops at the Manchester Municipal Aerodrome at Chat Moss are not yet quite completed, Northern Air Lines Limited has transferred from the temporary aerodrome at Wythenshawe. ....
