Heaton Grange Chorley New Road Heaton Bolton

Gothic in style and set in extensive grounds, Heaton Grange was situated on the south side of Chorley New Road. In addition to the main house the grounds contained Heaton Grange Cottage — which was home to the coachman — Heaton Grange Laundry where a gardener and his wife, the woman who ran the laundry, lived and the lodge was home to yet another gardener. Heaton Grange became a maternity home until it was eventually demolished in 1976.
