HOUSE ON THE CLAREMONT ESTATE, NEAR MANCHESTER - This house is now being built on the estate of Sir Percival Heywood, Bart., at Claremont, about three miles from Manchester, a portion of which estate it is now proposed to lay out for the erection of villa residences. The walls are of local red brick, and the roof and upper portion of the walls are covered with red Broseley tiles. The builder is Mr. James Birch, of Manchester. Mr. Bertram Heywood, B.A., of Uttoxeter, is the architect. [Building News 14 February 1890 page 255]
