Independent Chapel and Schools Belgrave Square Darwen
Like a Commissioners' church, with long, paired lancets and buttresses between, if it were not for the enterprising front, the most rewarding bit of ecclesiastical architecture at Darwen. Very high west porch, open to the sides as well, and behind and above it a triple bell‑gable, openwork too, and set between two turrets. It creates quite a fantastic skyline. (Pevsner).
