NEW LIBERAL CLUB AT LITTLE HULTON – The foundations of a new Liberal Club for Little Hulton are now being cut in Manchester Road, near the railway station. The estimated cost of the proposed clubhouse is £1,100. The contract has been secured by Mr James Cocker of Walkden; and Mr J (sic) Thorp, of Whitefield, is the architect. The new premises will include billiard, reading, card, and refreshment rooms. The accommodation provided at the old club has for a long time been inadequate.
