LIVERPOOL UNIVERSITY WAR MEMORIAL – The Liverpool University War Memorial is to be unveiled on Friday next by the Earl of Derby. The memorial takes the form of a series of wall panels arranged in the large by recess which dominates the main hall at Brownlow Hill, Liverpool. Upon these are inscribed the names of the fallen. The whole is framed in by a suitable architectural treatment, and above a fine sculptured composition gives the design additional interest. Mr Charles J Allen is responsible for the sculptured work, and Mr Gordon Hemm, of Messrs Foden, Hemm, and Williams, architects, of Manchester, undertook the designing of the architecture.
