THE LONGSIGHT LIBERAL CLUB - The Liberals of Longsight and district are now in possession of their new club premises, situated in Birch Lane. The premises consist of well-placed buildings containing excellently appointed refreshment, billiards, news, registration and other rooms; a well-laid bowling green, 54 yards by 40; and also a snug quoiting ground. The whole plot of land, measuring 4,000 square yards, has been secured at a low chief rent. It is surrounded by shrubberies and a handsome well-built brick wall with ornamental stone entrance. The adjoining plot (2000 square yards) fronting into Clarence Road has also been purchased and is held in reserve for extensions.
