New build

The new buildings at Grangethorpe, Rusholme, were dedicated by the Dean of Manchester at the Founder’s Day service in the school hall. After a landmine destroyed the school in 1940, it was housed in three adopted buildings at Didsbury for nine years, when the girls began to return to Grangethorpe as new buildings were finished. Now the whole school is together again, except for the preparatory department, which will remain at West Didsbury.
