SALISBURY - A new middle-class school has just been erected at Salisbury. The school, which is only the first part of a proposed larger building, is built entirely- of red brick, in the Queen Anne style, relieved by projecting chimneys, porch, and heavy mullioned windows. Brick carved panels are inserted in the chimneys, which were executed by Mr Harry Hems, of Exeter. The architect is Mr R. J. Withers, of London. Mrs. Hale and Sons, of Salisbury, are the builders. The cost was about £6,000. On Wednesday week Mrs. Hale and Sons' workmen, to the number of sixty, were entertained at supper at the expense of the Rev. W. C. Baker, the promoter of the undertaking.
