WESLEYAN METHODISM AT COLWYN BAY – A new place of worship for the English Wesleyan Methodists of Colwyn Bay, in addition to the St John’s Church, is in the course of erection on an elevated site at the corner of the Abergele and Nantyglyn roads. The building will comprise a chapel seating 450 adults, a Sunday school for 300 scholars, and a church parlour. Of cruciform plan, the structure is to be in the Late Decorated style of architecture, the materials used being Ruabon pressed bricks with terra cotta facings. Mr Arthur Brocklehurst of Manchester is the architect. The church and school will cost £7,000, including the land, etc. [Manchester Guardian 20 September 1904 page 8]
