DESIGN FOR THE NEW EXCHANGE AT LIVERPOOL - Mr E Salomons of this city, one of forty-five architects who competed for the erection of the proposed Exchange at Liverpool, is exhibiting his designs at Messrs Agnew’s. The number of views, elevations plans and sections is 18. The style is Renaissance and although the design has not been selected by the Committee, it well deserves inspection. The proposed newsroom would have been a splendid room if constructed after this design. The plans and elevations will remain on view for several days. [Manchester Guardian 17 July 1863 Page 2 col 7]
