BURNLEY NEW GRAMMAR SCHOOL - The Burnley new Grammar School was formally opened yesterday. The new buildings, which are not quite completed, have been erected from designs by Mr W Waddington, architect, Burnley, and they occupy a commanding position on an eminence overlooking the River Brun, and adjacent to the ancient church of St Peter. There is desk accommodation in the schoolroom at present for about 120 scholars. The cost of the buildings, boundary walls etc, will be about £4,000.
