S. PHILIP, CLERKENWELL - A well-designed house, of moderate size, by Mr. Withers. The material is white brick with red bands. The windows are provided with sashes, and have square heads under Pointed hoods. A staircase window gives an opportunity for a large transomed window of two lights with a quatrefoil in the head. The chimneys and sky-line are successfully enough treated. The cost is £1800. [Ecclesiologist June 1867 page 186]
