Thomas Scott,

Since the church was built ten years ago the congregations have steadily increased and enlargement has been a necessity. Room for about 200 more persons is obtained by the erection of a north aisle, marked off from the nave by an arcade of four pointed aches. The aisle terminates at the west with a semi-circular apse. On the north side are three large equal gables, the windows in which give light and air and add to the picturesqueness of the building. Mr Medland Taylor, the architect of the Church, has designed and superintended the new work, which has been carried out by Mr Thomas Scott, the builder. [Manchester Guardian 18 May 1895 page 5]
