Offices & Warehouse (Olivos): Brown Street
This building is erected at the corner of Brown and Marsden Streets and was erected for Mr M Olivo of the firm of Olivo and Spartali, Greek Merchants, of Manchester, from designs and under the superintendence of Messrs Clegg and Knowles of Manchester. It has four storeys and a basement, the front part consisting of suites of offices, the back part and basement of warehouses; the front part to Brown Street being occupied by the British Imperial Insurance Corporation. It is executed externally in Darley Dale stone with a liberal use of red and blue granite. The contractors are Messrs Bowden and Edwards, the carving being done by Messrs Williams and Mooney.
