HOSPITAL EXTENSION. The Mayor of (Alderman S. Rudman) was called upon yesterday to open two new pavilions for convalescents which have been erected at cost of £20,000 as an extension of Ladywell Sanatorium.  Built from the designs of Mr. Henry Lord, the two pavilions are provided with 80 beds. The equipment is up-to-date and perfect in detail. The chambers, apart from the wards, include a sun room, which convalescents may bask themselves into complete recovery, and a retiring hall, where the pipe of peace may be enjoyed those to whom tobacco brings solace and comfort.
