CHAPEL AND SCHOOL, EDENFIELD - These buildings were completed early in 1882. Yorkshire parpoints are used for the walls, Pletcher Bank (a white, hard, local stone) for the sills, etc., and red Runcorn stone for the bands and moulded work. The chapel contains 300 sittings, and the school will accommodate 350 scholars. The cost, including boundary walls, was £2,347. Messrs. J. and H. Wolstenholme, of Edenfield, were the builders.
