Several of the most influential gentlemen of the town have become warmly interested in the erection of a new institution, to be called the "Bolton Athenaeum,” which will be a benefit and ornament to the town. Several large subscriptions have already been offered, and Mr James Greenhaulgh, architect has, we hear, been instructed to make plans, with an estimate of the cost, preparatory to calling a public meeting.
