Proposed Princess Super Cinema, St Andrew's Road North, St Anne’s

The Princess Super Cinema now in course of construction, is in St Andrew's Road North. The building, designed by Arnold England, will be in white terra cotta and the cinema will seat 1,100 on the ground floor and a further 500 in the balcony. A tea room and restaurant accommodating 280 guests, a café foyer, with accommodation for 400; roof gardens, with accommodation for 750 persons; and a large and handsome lounge will be special features of the scheme. Although the report in Kinematograph Weekly claims that construction work had commenced, no other reference for this building has been found. It is assumed that the scheme was aborted
