Public Baths: Ashton in Makerfield

ASHTON-IN-MAKERFIELD PUBLIC BATHS COMPETITION - Mr. William Owen. J P, FRIBA, of Warrington, the assessor appointed in this competition, has selected the design submitted by Messrs J C. Prestwich and Son, architects, Leigh, which has been confirmed by the council. The competition was limited to architects practising within the Wigan and Leigh Union districts, eight designs being submitted. The cost of the buildings is estimated at £6,000.
