THE PUPIL TEACHERS’ CENTRE, BOLTON - The proper training of pupil teachers is an important part of the work of all the great educational authorities, and one of the last acts of the School Board in Bolton was to arrange for the building of this Pupil Teachers’ Centre, which. under the Corporation Committee, is being most successfully carried on. The buildings and ļ¬ttings throughout have proved very well adapted for their purpose.  Fireproof construction is used throughout, the walls being of brick with Edwards’ Ruabon terracotta dressings. Messrs D. and E. Maginnis, of Bolton, were the contractors, the architects being Messrs. Bradshaw and Gass. [Building News 2 February 1906 Page 169]

The firm of Bradshaw and Gass, F.R.I.B.A., of Bolton and London, whose work was illustrated in our last issue, includes Mr. Arthur J. Hope, whose name should also have been associated in the letterpress description of the buildings. [Building News 16 February 1906 page 255]
