Opened in 1899 as the Hippodrome (Architect R. McDowell.) it was re-built to the designs of Albert Winstanley in 1909 and re-opened as the Queen's Theatre with 1,200 seats. It showed films by 1914 and became a cinema in 1921 under Will Emerson. Proscenium width 24 feet; Stage, 26 feet deep. Eight dressing rooms. Used for Bingo in 1958: Bingo. and converted to 1964: supermarket in 1964. Demolished about 1990.
