RC School Talbot Road Blackpool

THE BLACKPOQL CATHOLIC CHURCH – The new school in Talbot Road is now practically complete. The addition to the public footway which has been accorded by arrangement is a great public convenience. The school itself is an ornament to the locality. It is 72 feet long by 20 feet wide and 14 feet high up to the tie beam. Of Gothic design it naturally agrees with its surroundings, in every respect thoroughly in harmony with the present school and church. The architect of the building is Mr. R. B. Mather, and under his supervision the admirable developments, have been consummated. The new school will accommodate between 200 and 300 scholars. [Blackpool Gazette 15 May 1885 page 8]
