SCALA, LIVERPOOL - Decorations in Grecian style are being introduced at the Scala, Liverpool, as part of a general renovation scheme, which includes remodelling the proscenium front in fibrous plaster, Holophane stage lighting will be introduced, and the re-designed theatre lighting will be expressed in a series of elaborate sunburst effects in the domed ceiling. Concealed lighting will also be housed in the cornices. A new steel frame has been fitted to accommodate a larger screen. The architects are Gray and Evans of Liverpool.
