Rosslyn Chapel, Hampstead, London NW: New Aisle, Chancel, etc
ROSSLYN HILL CHAPEL, Hampstead, N.W., has been recently enlarged by the addition of a north aisle, affording increased accommodation for about 100 sittings; a new chancel with vestry and committee room adjoining, and organ chamber, the latter being formed out of the old vestry. The style of the building is decorated Gothic, and the additions have been treated in the same manner, Bath stone with Kentish rag facings being the materials used. The work has been satisfactorily carried out by Messrs. Adamson and Sons, of Ealing, from the designs and under the superintendence of Messrs. Thos. Worthington and J. G. Elgood, of Manchester. Mr. W. T. Creed acted as clerk of the works. [The British Architect 20 November 1885 page 224]
