Rumworth (later Majestic Cinema), 167, St Helens Road, Daubhill, Bolton

The Rumworth Electric Theatre on St Helens Road originally opened in August 1911. The building was modernised in 1929 when a Western Electric (WE) sound system was also installed. It was then renamed the Majestic Cinema with a reduced seating capacity for 1,600. On 26 November 1930 approval was granted for further alterations to the entrance halls. The Majestic Cinema closed in 1957
