Sacred Trinity Mission House and Mission Room. Blackfriars Street Salford
SACRED TRINITY MISSION HOUSE AND MISSION ROOM, SALFORD - These two adjacent buildings were dedicated yesterday by the Dean of Manchester. They are situated in Blackfriars-street and John-street, Salford, next to the parish schools. The house of three storeys fronts Blackfriars-street. The site has been bought and the house erected at the sole cost of the Rector. It accommodates six sisters of the community of Horbury, Yorkshire, who work in the parish. Approached from the house and also directly from John-street is the mission room, towards the building fund of which the Bishop's Commission has made a substantial grant. It is a one-storey building, lighted at one side and each end and lined from floor to roof with glazed bricks. Electric lighting is provided throughout. The architect is Mr Medland Taylor and the builder Mr T Scott.
