This building has been built at a cost of £100,000 with accommodation for almost 2,000 people, a ballroom on the upper floor, and restaurant and café. The facade is executed of stone from the Stokehall quarries, Yorkshire.  The building comprises a foyer in the Egyptia style, with marble steps and wal fountain, with restaurant and café on the first floor and ball room on the upper floor. The cinema accommodates nearly 2,000 persons and contains the latest appliances and equipment. Passenger elevators are installed. The architect is Mr George E Tonge LRIBA of Southport. A feature of the building is  the system of heating and ventilation.
